Spicy blackened tilapia is a very quick and simple recipe that is full of flavor yet easy on the budget. This recipe isn’t heavy on the heat so adjust cayenne pepper to taste.

  • 4 Tilapia Filets
  • 1 Tbs Butter or Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Tbs Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbs Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  1. Heat butter or oil in a skillet (iron skillet works best) on medium high heat. Mix all seasoning together thoroughly. Coat both sides of filets. Just as butter/oil begins to smoke, add filets to the pan. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side.
